April Rickard

April Rickard, LMHC, CCTP, is the Director of Clinical Services at Meta, bringing over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. April’s extensive background spans various age groups, including youth, adolescents, young adults, and adults, as well as families and individuals facing dual-diagnosis challenges. Her work focuses on a person-centered approach for individuals in substance addiction recovery, prioritizing tailored care.

Throughout her career, April has supported individuals in high-stakes environments, from emergency room crisis intervention to specialized services for the Department of Children and Families, the Department of Youth Services, and the Department of Mental Health. She is trained in DBT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Seeking Safety, and is certified in EMDR.

April has supported individuals facing Major Mental Illness, Substance Use Disorders, Personality Disorders, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Eating Disorders, and co-occurring conditions. As a family member of loved ones in mental health and addiction recovery, April brings a deep, personal commitment to her work, helping individuals and their families find healing in recovery.

Outside of work, April enjoys exploring New England’s natural beauty through activities like hiking, fishing, boating, swimming, and nature observation.
